Integrated Maternal Health Services (IMHS)

The Integrated Maternal Health Service Program is working to improve maternal health in Nevada through collaborative efforts between Comagine Health, the UNLV Department of Gynecologic Surgery and Obstetrics (GSO), and the UNLV School of Public Health. At the UNLV OB-GYN Shadow Lane clinic, community health workers are conducting risk assessment screenings with pregnant patients to identify potential social needs. If risks are identified, the patient is offered a referral to the Southern Nevada Pathways Community HUB (SNV HUB), which is a local care coordination network in Clark County. Once at the SNV HUB, the individual is offered one-on-one navigation assistance to improve social and health outcomes throughout their pregnancy and delivery. To ensure the feasibility and fidelity of this program, the UNLV School of Public Health is serving as evaluators for Comagine Health and the UNLV Department of GSO. We are currently piloting the study and aiming to enroll and serve 200 pregnant patients.
